Overview
Not everyone gets a second chance at life, a chance for redemption. Susan does. After her seemingly perfect life suddenly changes, she wakes in the year 2166 to a new world. Future Earth is unexpected and full of secrets. Two descendants care for her when she wakes. While dealing with her own losses and grief, Susan finds the strength to help two extraordinarily intelligent children, Joor and Mara, solve a one-hundred-year-old mystery. People of Earth now live in airtight homes and can’t go outside. These homes protect them from a virus possibly brought back from a mission to Mars. The three set out to discover if the virus is a real threat—or if they’re being lied to. Over a few turbulent and emotional days, the three bond and fill voids in their lives. For the rest of the community, the arrival of Susan and her strong personality threatens to disrupt their ways.
