Overview
Meet Edrick, a boy with an oversized imagination! In his first book, Saturday is Cleaning Day, Edrick can't imagine spending all of Saturday morning cleaning his messy room. So he decides to take matter into his own hands and build a cleaning machine that will do the work for him. This way he will be done in no time at all and have the entire day to play outside. But the cleaning machines don't always work the way Edrick imagines they will. And he learns that sometimes the easiest way to get something done is to rely on those who are closest to you.

Meet the Author and Illustrator

Craig Kunce
Hello—I’m a dad, artist, author, and educator. I’ve always been an artist who loves a good story. So it was only a matter of time before I found himself writing and illustrating books. I began creating my books to share funny stories and pass along valuable life lessons to my own children. I am pleased that other parents and children are growing to like them too. I hope my books bring families together to read, laugh, and think about wild ideas! My main goal is always a fun and engaging story. But I also want each book to gently introduce readers to important life lessons. These lessons include self-confidence, friendship, family, happiness, community, responsibility, pride, and not following the crowd.

Reviews

I am a retired teacher. After retiring, I was drafted as a volunteer in an elementary classroom with another retiree. We used this book with a group of talented readers in first-grade. They read the book to us and then they received an assignment from us. They had to come up with their own invention that would help them complete a task . . . WOW . . . I could not believe what they came up with! They enjoyed the book (so did the two retirees) very much. It was one of the best book we have used. Thank you Craig. —Judy Lee
